"Do not go gentle into that good night, old age should burn and rave at close of day; rage, rage against the dying of the light."

The premise of this line revolves around the fact that death is inevitably coming. Nonetheless, the speaker of the poem suggests that one should "burn and rave" at their approaching end as opposed to going "gentle." Hence, the picture I selected depicts soldiers travelling fiercely into the night. As a sunset depicts the steady decline of light, it represents the life that they are slowly losing. When men or women are in combat, they are aware that their life may end at any moment. It is therefore perseverance and determination that drives them to get through the day.
